Your membership contributions have helped us push forward our recent campaigns of A New Deal for Workers, Protecting Shopworkers from Violence and Abuse and Supporting Parents and Carers.
Cancellation of your Usdaw membership means you will no longer be entitled to our workplace support or member benefits and services inclusive of those contained within our Terms & Conditions.
There are a lot of reasons we’d like you to stay!
Did you know:
- Retired members pay a lower rate and are entitled to legal support and the funeral grant.
- Depending on your employer, subscriptions can be paid through your wages or by Direct Debit.
- You may be able to maintain your Usdaw membership even if you change employer.
- You can speak to your Area Organiser and local office regarding any issues in your workplace.
Usdaw members are entitled to a range of services and benefits including:
- Free will writing services and legal, pension and health & safety advice.
- Legal cover for work-related injury, diseases and accidents.
- Union education and training.
- Member offers and discounts from well-known companies.
- Sickness and disablement grants to cover long term illness or serious injury.
- Maternity/paternity/adoption benefits to support new parents.
- Death grants to cover funeral costs and accidental death.
- Convalescent homes for periods of rest.
You can always rejoin Usdaw, but if you leave now you will need to wait 12 months from rejoining for your entitlement to our benefits and you will not be covered for any workplace issues that occur while your membership is cancelled.
If you still feel that you would like to cancel, you can call us for details on how to cancel your membership on 0800 030 80 30.
