Jane’s second three-year term in office will start after the union’s Annual Delegate Meeting (ADM) 28 April to 1 May 2024 in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
Jane is from Mold in North Wales, works for Tesco as a checkout supervisor and has served on Usdaw’s National Executive Council since 2017.
Paddy Lillis - Usdaw General Secretary says: “Congratulations to Jane on her re-election as Usdaw President. I look forward to continuing to work with her on the challenges our members face in the midst of a cost of living crisis, along with an epidemic of retail crime. Jane works on the frontline of retail, has first-hand knowledge of the issues and will continue to be a strong voice at the head of Usdaw speaking up for our members.
“Usdaw has a busy agenda that includes campaigning for a new deal for workers, legal protection against violence and abuse for shopworkers, along trying to save the high street from further shop closures and job losses through a retail recovery plan. It has become clear the current Government has failed on all these issues and only Labour can and will deliver the change our members so desperately need.”
