Over 100 drivers and clerical staff are set to take part in the action.
Rab Donnelly - Usdaw Regional Secretary says: “Our members at GXO Swindon overwhelmingly voted to reject the company’s initial offer of 5.25%. We remain disappointed that we have been unable to reach a resolution that would be acceptable to our members to end this dispute, despite further discussions with the company. Usdaw remains ready to again fully engage with the company at any opportunity for meaningful discussions.
“Industrial action is always a last resort, but our members deserve better than what is currently on the table from GXO. There remains a clear disparity in pay between the company’s sites operating on the same contract and we are looking for a pay rise which reflects the cost of living and the value of our members in Swindon to the business.
“This 48-hour stoppage risks disruption of supplies to B&Q stores in the region. We urge GXO to do the right and reasonable thing by making an offer that is acceptable to our members to resolve the dispute.”
