Usdaw’s regional secretary for South Wales will be speaking at a Vaughan Gething campaign event this Monday 15 January, 10-11.30am, at the Innovation Station in Newport.

Mike Walker - Usdaw Regional Secretary says: “Usdaw members, their families and working people across Wales need a strong Labour Party in the Senedd and across the country, speaking out for them on their issues of concern. The Welsh Labour Government has provided an important counterbalance to 14 years of Tory austerity and attacks on workers across the UK.

“We believe that Vaughan Gething is the right person to do that and take us forward. His experience as the current economy minister will ensure that he is well placed to support our members through the cost of living crisis and with an authentic trade union background as a rep, Wales TUC President, and an employment lawyer we know he will work side by side with Usdaw to promote improved workers’ rights.”
