Many members are keen to improve their maths skills.

It helps in the workplace and gives people a chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Usdaw’s bitesize learning

Getting comfortable with the everyday maths behind our bills or wage slips helps us to make good financial decisions. Working with the National Numeracy Challenge, Usdaw has developed Maths & Money Matters to help get you started.

Usdaw has developed a Maths Bitesize course designed to improve practical maths skills.  It takes about ten minutes to complete. Shop 'til you drop

Learn ‘new’ ways to help you be more confident with your children or grandchildren with their maths homework. Our bitesize course is here to help – discussing common maths tricks to help you feel more confident about maths.

unionlearn.org.uk/skillcheck will assess your skills before you start. You can use it on your tablet/computer or download the app for either Apple or Android phones.

nnchallenge.org.uk helps you test your skills and then organises learning for you at the right level through quizzes, games, puzzles and problems. You need to register to use the site.

bbc.co.uk offers learning through videos, exercises and quizzes. You can choose your subject.

open.edu is an 8-week course which requires around 3 hours of study a week. It provides you with problem solving skills for your everyday life and the wider world.

TUC eNotes offers self-contained modules on Maths such as “Citizen Maths” and “Working With Figures”. They last between 20 and 45 minutes. You will need to register to use the site.

Wranx offers a range of bitesize app based repetition courses, a number of courses based around Maths, at Fictional skills and GCSE Level. Find out more.
