Arena puts membership issues at the heart of its four editions. The aim of the magazine is to keep Usdaw members informed of what is happening in the Union, its campaigns, the services and offers available to them and where they can go for help.

A diverse range of Usdaw members take centre stage by sharing their stories about legal wins, their passions and hobbies, as well as courageously raising awareness about living and working with serious health conditions and other issues that matter to them.

The first digital issue of Arena was launched in autumn 2023. 

The winter 2024 edition of Arena showcases Respect Week in workplaces and communities; there’s advice on debt; members share their stories on juggling work with personal challenges; the forthcoming employment rights bill is explained; everything you need to know about branches and how to get involved; and find out about the free benefits of Usdaw membership such as Injury Assist and union learning.
