Usdaw strives for better equality for its members, in and out of the workplace, with many campaigns to further our cause.
From our LGBT+ Get-Together to the Not All Disability is Visible and Sexual Harassment...Call it out! campaigns, there are plenty of ways for reps and members to get involved.
October is Black History Month, this year's focus is 'Reclaiming Narratives,' an invitation to every member of the Black community to take part in shaping how their stories are told. Find out how you can get involved here.

Transforming the workplace
Unions, their reps and members, have an essential role to play in fighting all forms of discrimination including transphobia. Read TUC's guide on supporting trans members.
Together Against Hate
Together we can end hate crime
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of hate crime and the harm it does to members and their families.
Many of our members have experienced hate crime either at work or in their communities, with LGBT+ and Black members being at particular risk.
Not All Disability is Visible
In the UK, 1 in 5 people have a disability (as defined by the Equality Act 2010), 80 percent of which can’t be seen.
The majority of physical and mental health conditions as well as many learning, behavioural and developmental disabilities are therefore not visible or immediately obvious to others. Speech and language difficulties, reduced sight, chronic fatigue syndrome, colitis, autism, depression, migraine and asthma are just a few examples of hidden disabilities. There are many, many more.
