Workplace temperatures and the effects on staff

Many Usdaw members suffer from high temperatures at work and we have long campaigned for a legal maximum workplace temperature.

Unions need to put forward a strong case as many employers will be arguing against the measure. We therefore need as much evidence as possible from reps in a wide range of workplaces.

We are particularly interested in problems when it gets too hot.  We know this can be an issue in warmer summer weather, but we also want to hear from members in workplaces where it can be too hot most of the time, even when it is cold outside.
