When & where
Date: 18 January 2025
Location: Radisson Blu Hotel, Manchester Airport
This event is unique in the Trade Union movement and it helps to properly recognise the hard work put in by our army of reps nationwide.
Last year, there was a very high standard of nominations recognising the work of our newest members, the tireless work of our Health and Safety Reps, members working hard on the equalities agenda and Lifelong Learning and some exceptionally high quality, innovative work in organising, recruiting and campaigning across the seven regions.
There will be nine different categories:
- Individual Organising Award
- Individual Recruitment Award
- Team Recruitment and Organising Award
- The Campaigns Award
- Health and Safety Rep Award
- Union Learning Rep Award
- The Equalities Award
- Most Promising New Activist Award
- Outstanding Achievement Award
We have moved the nomination process online for 2024 therefore please use the link below to access the nomination form.
Complete the nomination form here.
The form gives guidance to the types of achievements that we are looking for in each category.
Please ensure as much detail as possible is given on the nomination form in a minimum of 100 words to demonstrate why the nominee is deserving of national recognition.
The nomination process is straightforward and open to all:
-
- Anyone can nominate a colleague, or anyone can nominate themselves.
- Please note that NEC members, Regional Councillors and Usdaw staff cannot be nominated.
- All nominations must be received by Friday 20 September 2024.
- The Regional Council will select a Regional winner in each category who will be invited to the National Awards Ceremony in Manchester on Saturday 18 January 2025.
- The nine National Award winners will be determined by a vote of the National Executive Council and the winners will not be known until announced at the Awards Ceremony.
